Today we arrived in Santiago at 11 am after walking our final stage of the "Way" from Lavacolla at an early hour this morning. Laura and Noel joined us this morning for the final 10 kilometers in the pouring rain! 

The husband traveled by bus with not a single word of Spanish and duly arrived at the Cathedral in time to capture our arrival moment on camera.

The only thing that dampened our spirit was to receive the news of the passing of a close friend after a long illness, Mary D RIP. 
We know Mary would have been very proud of us and to know of our pilgrimage was ending as she entered heaven.
